1. Power Of The Eyes Drill:What you do here is you attempt 3 long putts, each at a minimum of 50 feet. But wait, that's not it. Now, if you follow the normal method of putting you will most likely come up short. If you try the same putt again but this time try to keep focused on the target during your stroke. Now... this will more than likely cause your putts to fly past the hole. This is because your eyes have the ability to alter the momentum of your stroke based on were they are focused on. This drill is ideal for a pre stroke routine as it promotes both touch and feel for the distance and accuracy of your shots. Keep trying this method until you become aware of your stroke's power. 2. Nearer the Hole Comp:Now this is bit more fun than the last one, and if you have a competitive streak in you then your going to love it. It's a contest where you and a golfing buddy try and putt closest to the hole for points. It works like this; You get 5 points for sinking a putt, 2 points for being just a length of the putter head away, and you also get a bonus point if you beat your partner and get it closer to the hole. If a putt fails to come within the safety zone (within the length of a putter head to the hole) you have to deduct one point. Get your money out, drinks on the loser!! 3. Hit The Safety:On the practice green, make a semi circle with tees at the back of the hole roughly the clubs head away from it.
