Now this is bit more fun than the last one, and if you have a competitive streak in you then your going to love it. It's a contest where you and a golfing buddy try and putt closest to the hole for points. It works like this; You get 5 points for sinking a putt, 2 points for being just a length of the putter head away, and you also get a bonus point if you beat your partner and get it closer to the hole. If a putt fails to come within the safety zone (within the length of a putter head to the hole) you have to deduct one point. Get your money out, drinks on the loser!!
On the practice green, make a semi circle with tees at the back of the hole roughly the clubs head away from it. Keep putting until you can come to rest in the safety 10 times on the trot. Have you got what it takes?
Finish of your practice session by making as many short putts as you can in 10 minutes. My best is 67, make sure you have a lot of free balls available. It's also best to try and do it on a practice green that has plenty holes. Make sure your balls are all setup before attempting it. You may get more than me this way. Imagine yourself on every putt being in a major competition and that the putt could be your ticket to a million dollars, can't hurt you to dream a little. It will give you an extra edge in your putting, believe me.
