It's started to become finely tuned game but now you crave for perfection. You hit most shots absolutely solid. You are beginning to come to terms with the movement of the ball and you may begin to manipulate it in some instances, but you would like to increase your green hitting consistency and work with clubs that you can really feel.
Your drives are quite straight and you hit the consistently, but you always crave that little extra distance. The long par 4's are becoming easier and those par 5 greens can almost be hit in two and especially if you had that little more distance.
Your long irons are becoming slightly more consistent but could do with tightening up a little more. The long iron shots can still be a problem when aiming for the green.
The short game is becoming increasingly strong but your wedges need to be finely tuned so you can get the maximum variety of shots out of them.
The Advanced Golfers Perfect Set Of Clubs

Your perfect set of clubs should start off with player irons. These irons are more traditional looking as the offset is minimal and the weighting and top line are smaller. The ball is easier to manipulate with these irons as they promote a lot more touch and feel with the golfer. Using these, you should really be able to feel and predict were the ball is going at all times.
Your driver should be a little more decreased in loft now, something between a 9 or a 10 degree loft is ideal. Your shaft should also be perfected for your swing speed and ball trajectory. A custom fitting session or trial and error on your part should be enough to determine what shaft type would be ideal for you.
Now, the most important adjustment in your bag should be with the woods and long irons. Choosing correctly here will result in easily reachable par 4's and 5's. A trial and error approach or a custom fitting session is very important here as you want your 3 wood or your 2 hybrid to be perfectly tuned to your needs to get the most out of your game.
Your short game is next. This is also important for getting the most out of your finely tuned game. You will need to find the ideal feel, loft and bounce that suits your short game. You should base your choice of wedges from your pitching wedge. Increments of 5 degrees upwards from here should be sufficient for a good choice of wedges.
For the advanced player that really wants to tune their game to the maximum, a custom fitting session or two is really recommended. The custom fitting of both your shaft and your lofts is really important here. Your fittings should compensate for total trajectory control for the highest variety of shots. You want to be ready for any circumstances that may arise, for instance; hard or soft greens; and weather conditions all play a part in what type of shot you need to hit.
