The Callaway FTi Squared Driver - Head Picture

Most would think that golf is the game of precision. It is – but luck factors into a huge chunk of it. I do not need to tell you about how awesome it feels to sink that ever elusive hole in one off a perfectly laid drive – it is that bit of Xanaduu that all golfers strive to feel.

Golf is not all about luck or your awesome skill with a club but a lot of it does, in fact, depend on the club itself. Though those other things play a big part in the game of golf the equipment is a much respected as the deliverer of dreams. If we can talk about the ball we are using or the glove on our hand then the club is certainly our weapon of mass destruction on the golf course.

We cannot mention clubs without mentioning the FT-i-Ti Draw Driver from the boys at Callaway Golf. This driver represents a huge leap in driver design – a quantum leap – if you will. The design is revolutionary utilizing the 460cc “Complete Inertial” design. The boundaries of shape are pushed to the brink and our imaginations may not be able to handle it as the rules on golf club design are about to change. The design of the Callaway FT-i-Ti Squared Driver represents a precise position of weight to the extreme corners of the head of the club. What this does is create a very high moment of inertia (meaning more power to the front swing so when the ball is struck it will soar further).

The legal limits of the cup face are being pushed with the FT-i-Ti Driver by using Callaway’s hottest and largest CT/VFT Titanium cup face. This pushing of the measurements means an increased ball speed, distance as well as forgiveness. The OptiFit Weighting System, incorporated in the club, gives an optimal center of gravity for evenness.

The Callaway FTi Driver has some great features you cannot overlook:Picture Of The Bottom Of The Club
Carbon Composite Body: A much lighter metal than titanium, carbon gives a flexibility unmatched by other material. It improves the over all stability, distance, flexibility, weight and construction of the club.

CT/VFT Titanium Cup Face:
The FT-i-Ti Driver uses Callaway's largest and hottest cup face. This will increase the ball speeds that are hit all over the face.

460cc Complete Inertial Design: This inertial design creates a case where discretionary weight is positioned at the extreme corners of the clubhead. This raises the MOI for resistance that is unparalleled. It forgives all shots that are struck be them horizontally or vertically.

Fusion Technology: The technology used is propriety in nature. This produces a maximum perimeter of weight as well as a more discretionary weight so that you can position your clubhead precisely. The club has an unsurpassed stability on shots that wound up being a bit off center which enables the ball flight to customize – giving optimal individual performance.

Overall View

If you are like me and can never seem to get a straight shot on a ball then if you are willing to part with about $500.00 then the way to the promised land of straight flying balls is close at hand with the Callaway Squared FT i Driver. But if the price makes you sweat a little, the cheaper alternative would have to be the younger brother of this driver, the Callaway GX Squared Ti Driver. Both posses a similar amount of quality.
