Are green fees fixed, or do they change?
They change a lot. The same course often charges a peak weekend-morning rate, a lower midweek rate, and a discounted twilight rate later in the day, and resort courses swing hard by season. Booking ahead online or as part of a stay-and-play package is usually cheaper than the walk-up rack rate. Treat the number here as a planning figure and confirm the exact rate for your date and tee time with the course.
Should I include the caddie fee and a tip?
If you're playing a course where caddies are customary or required — many links and marquee tracks — budget the caddie fee here, and remember a tip on top is standard and often expected in cash. How many rounds should I plan per day?
